Construction has started on Monarch Luxury Apartments, a high-end housing development in Fort Myers. Developer Collier Companies shares that the project is “poised to redefine upscale living” in the area. Plans call for 472 units, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom residences. In-unit furnishings will include quartz countertops and wood cabinets, along with open-concept floorplans to give tenants creative flexibility.
Communal amenities will include a clubhouse with a fitness center, resort-style swimming pool, and other features that reflect Fort Myers’ reputation as a top vacation destination. Atlanta-based Dynamik Design Partners is the architect. Monarch’s design was largely inspired by the area’s Caribbean influence.

General contractor LandSouth Construction reports that the project is expected to wrap up in the second quarter of 2027. Pacifica Engineering is the civil engineer. Monarch Luxury Apartments isn’t the only residential venture unfolding in Fort Myers. Earlier this year, we covered The Riley, a 275-unit development in the town; construction is anticipated to end in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Google Earth’s renderings as of December 2024 suggest that the build site was vacant prior to sitework. Monarch Luxury Apartments is set for 3950 Veronica S. Shoemaker Blvd, Fort Myers, FL, 33916, in Lee County. It will lie west of I-75.
