Juvia Group’s Sushi Garage is set to debut at The Standard Residences in Midtown Miami, bringing a contemporary interpretation of Japanese cuisine to the emerging residential and commercial district. The announcement comes as the 12-story, 228-unit development approaches completion, with a sellout nearing. The new location is the result of a collaboration between Rosso Development, Standard International, and Midtown Development. Sushi Garage will be located on the ground floor of the building and joins a hospitality lineup that includes Solana, a rooftop restaurant and bar, and Rosetta Bakery Café & Privato Speakeasy.

“Sushi Garage is an extension of the vibrant lifestyle we envisioned not only for The Standard Residences, but for the entire Midtown community,” said Carlos Rosso, founder and CEO of Rosso Development. “Juvia Group has a proven track record of creating dynamic culinary destinations. Their beloved South Beach brand and recent success in Coconut Grove will carry into this project, complete with vibrant outdoor seating and an indoor-outdoor bar designed to celebrate Midtown’s energetic sidewalk culture.”

Sushi Garage is known for its balance between accessible and refined offerings. The menu highlights sustainable ingredients, seasonal selections, and inventive presentation. The restaurant is also expected to bring its hallmark happy hour programming to Midtown, reinforcing its status as a local gathering point.
“Sushi Garage has always been about community, and Midtown’s energy is the perfect match,” said Jonas Millán. “This new location marks the next evolution of the brand—and we’re proud to be part of the neighborhood’s continued growth.”

The space was designed by Manuel Clavel Rojo of Clavel Arquitectos, a Spanish architecture and design firm with an international portfolio. “Designing the new restaurant in Midtown was about capturing the soul of the brand—playful, local, and elevated—while crafting a space that seamlessly blends innovation with emotional resonance and feels inherently connected to Miami’s vibrant energy,” said Rojo.

Located at 3100 NE 1st Avenue, The Standard Residences is situated between the Wynwood and Design District neighborhoods. The project features studios to two-bedroom residences and is the first Standard-branded residential development, with interiors and amenity programming designed to reflect the brand’s hospitality ethos.

A dedicated concierge will manage lifestyle programming and resident services. Units will permit leasing for terms as short as one month, allowing for flexible ownership options.
