FAA permits have been filed for the installation of two tower cranes at 7727 Lake Underhill Road, where AdventHealth East Orlando is preparing for the next phase of a long-term hospital campus expansion. The filings, submitted by Brasfield & Gorrie, list Peyton Robertson as the point of contact and indicate that the cranes will support new construction over a 26-month period, from November 1, 2025, through February 1, 2027.
The applications were officially filed with the Federal Aviation Administration on June 12, 2025, and are currently under review.
According to the filings, the site sits at an elevation of 89 feet above sea level. One crane would rise 251 feet above ground level (340 feet AMSL), while the second would reach 288 feet AGL (378 feet AMSL).
While the filings do not specify which components of the expansion the cranes will serve, AdventHealth has several active and proposed projects at the site. These include a four-story vertical expansion on the south side of the main building, a 1,100-square-foot surgery waiting area expansion to the north, and a 3,500-square-foot inpatient/operating room addition that is already under construction. The latter will add two new operating rooms and associated patient beds.
In 2024, AdventHealth also submitted plans for a seven-level parking garage with nearly 800 spaces, proposed for a surface lot east of the emergency drop-off area and west of South Chickasaw Trail. The garage is reportedly now under construction.
AdventHealth East Orlando was founded in 1941 as a 15-bed facility and became part of the AdventHealth network in 1990. Today, the hospital operates with over 295 beds and plays a key role in serving East Orlando and surrounding communities. Located just off State Road 408 and east of Downtown Orlando, the hospital continues to evolve as part of the region’s growing healthcare infrastructure.
Further updates are anticipated as the FAA completes its review and construction plans take shape.

I don’t think the cranes mentioned above are for the parking garage. The garage is going up now and they are using a large crawler crane to set the panels.
