‘Alexan Boca’ Proposed for 790 Park of Commerce Boulevard, Boca Raton, Florida

A Boca Raton-based developer hopes to move forward with a multi-family development in its namesake city.

Alexan Boca would span 293,182 square feet of new construction, measuring seven stories above grade. The project would feature 298 one-bedroom to three-bedroom apartments, with the average residence measuring about 985 square feet. Our sources report that there would also be 30 affordable units and 15 workforce units. Amenities at Alexan Boca would include a swimming pool and courtyard. There would also be a total of 463 parking spots: 352 in a three-story parking garage and the remaining 111 as surface-level spots.

5400 Congress LLC is the developer. The proposed five-acre build site is currently home to a 20,050-square-foot office building constructed in the mid-1980s. It hosts an iThink Financial Credit Union office, representatives of which told sources that it has no plans to relocate or close.

MSA Architects designed the community. Conceptual renderings show a mid-rise building with barrel-roof tiles, suggesting a Mediterranean theme. Select units come with balconies. For Alexan Boca to move forward, it would need various approvals, including from the Boca Raton City Commission.

If approved Alexan Boca would be located at 790 Park of Commerce Boulevard, Boca Raton, Florida, 33487, in Palm Beach County. It would be directly across from the Boca Raton Tri-Rail Station.
