Pier Sixty-Six Residences, the residential component of Tavistock Development Company’s multi-billion-dollar reimagining of Pier Sixty-Six, has achieved several significant milestones. Indigo, the final of four residential buildings within the master-planned waterfront community, has received its certificate of occupancy, marking the full completion of its 88 residences. The development also announced the closing of Indigo’s penthouse, setting a record as the highest-priced new development condominium sale in Broward County at $14.5 million.

“The energy is palpable as Pier Sixty-Six Residences celebrates significant milestones, from completion to welcoming our first residents home and setting new sales records in the market with the official closing of Indigo’s first penthouse at $14.5 million,” said Amy Ballon, director of sales, Tavistock Development Company.
Indigo rises 11 stories and contains 28 condominium residences designed with inspiration drawn from boat decks and piers around the world. Residences range from three to five bedrooms and feature private elevator access, floor-to-ceiling windows, and direct water views. Each home includes a private terrace with dining and lounge areas, as well as a temperature-controlled plunge pool illuminated in aqua.

Azul, which was completed in fall 2024, is an 11-story condominium with 29 corner residences characterized by curved terraces emulating coral reef formations. The building emphasizes indoor-outdoor living through expansive wraparound terraces with panoramic views of the Intracoastal Waterway, Atlantic Ocean, and Fort Lauderdale skyline. Alongside Indigo, Azul is the first residential building in Fort Lauderdale to feature private plunge pools in every unit.

The Resort Residences, completed in summer 2024, consist of two four-story waterfront buildings containing 31 units. These were the first residential offerings to be completed within the Pier Sixty-Six master plan. Residences range from two to four bedrooms, spanning 1,645 square feet to more than 3,800 square feet, and are the only homes eligible for inclusion in Pier Sixty-Six’s rental management program.

Really nice development. Great addition to Ft. Lauderdale. Hope they build the development across the street.
Wow… I was down there about two years ago and it was nothing but dirt. Very impressive and very Florida.
Surprised that the penthouse would command such a premium when it is not ocean facing real estate. I imagine the new St. Regis resididences at the Bahia Mar will cost more.
Everything is being built for the rich instead of for the people who helped make it what it is today. Working people like nice stuff too but at a price that won’t leave them broke and homeless.South Florida belongs to all people not just the rich. God made Florida for all
As with all new properties in Ft Lauderdale and Miami.……way tooooo expensive. Can’t wait to see the HOA fees and insurance premiums and of course property taxes……..and the water keeps rising! The value of these properties will not go up unless there continues to be people with more money than brains…….so far that has been the case but when the financial markets take a tumble – $1T in margin debt, you’ll see what happens to the value of these properties.
The building contractor for Tavistock Development Company was hit with a STOP WORK ORDER by the City of Ft. Lauderdale water department back in 2022, which caused a 2-3 month delay until the issue was corrected. The violation was, the contractor ILLEGALLY tapped into the city water supply without a METER and was STEALING water for months. After the city came up with an approx mount of gallons of water that was stolen and the amount ($100,000’s of thousands of dollars) was paid back to the city, as well as the fines for the very-serious violation, the project was allowed to proceed. All of this was discovered by my brother, a city worker who was working on irrigation lines out in front of the property along 17th Street Causeway.
I’ve been at Pier 66 on many occasions over the years since 1970 and remember walking around it at night very well, it had lots of magnificent landscaping and was like a manicured jungle. When it opened it took the Pier Top elevator 66 seconds to reach the top, and it took 66 minutes for the Pier Top Restaurant floor to made 1 total revelation. The hotel and grounds were IMMACULATE!! I stayed at the hotels top floor about 7 years ago for the weekend before it was bought and renovated, and it was so SAD, the hotel and grounds had been left to seriously DETERIORATE. So this project is a major improvement, I’m just sad that new people who come to the area who are not MILLIONAIRES & BILLIONAIRES will NEVER be able to set foot on it and enjoy it the way my family did years ago. It was owned by Phillips 66, hence its name, and there was a 66 full-service filling station on the SE corner of the grounds.
