‘Seaside Villas’ Redevelopment Planned for 3205 58th Street, Gulfport, Florida

Seaside Villas, an apartment complex constructed in 1964, was destroyed beyond repair by Hurricane Helene. Yet, plans for a total redevelopment are in the works.

The original development featured three three-story buildings with 121 homes; new renderings call for a single five-story building with the same number of residences. Floorplans would include one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom layouts.

To protect the building from future weather-related damage, apartments start on the building’s second floor, with the ground level hosting storage, 168 parking spots, and the main lobby. Communal amenities are set to include a rooftop hot tub, an infinity pool, and a fitness center, among other offerings. The property will also host a generously sized dog park.

Wesley Chapel-based Suncoast Civil is the civil engineer. Seaside Villas Florida LLC is the developer. The firm purchased the complex for $20 million in 2018. It also recently submitted plans to the Southwest Florida Water Management District and is awaiting approval regarding stormwater management.

Ideally, construction would commence in spring 2026 and end the following summer. Zillow reports that the average cost of rent in Gulfport is $2,250; rates at Seaside Villas may or may not fall within those parameters.

If given the green light, Seaside Villas would be located at 3205 58th Street, Gulfport, Florida, 33707, in Pinellas County.
