Exotic Motors Of Florida, an auto body shop located in Miami, could be replaced with an affordable housing development.
The project, led by developer Interlik LLC, would measure nine stories above grade. It would require just over 280,000 square feet of new construction and feature 383 apartments; they would range from studios to two-bedroom units, measuring 352 to 715 square feet each.
Of the 383 units, 40 percent (about 153) would be reserved for households earning at or below 120 percent of the area median income (AMI). According to Miami-Dade County records, the median income is currently $87,500, meaning that a four-person household could earn no more than $123,900 a year to qualify.

Communal amenities at the nine-story community would include a swimming pool and 527 parking spots. As noted, Interlik LLC is the developer. The firm purchased the 0.95-acre build site for $7 million last September. Currently, the venture’s in its pre-application phase with Miami-Dade County. CMA Architects is the architect.
The automotive building on the site, dating back to the 1950s, spans about 13,000 square feet and would be demolished to make way for new construction. If approved, Interlik LLC’s project would occupy 2801 and 2825 N.W. 35th St., Miami, Florida, 33142, in Miami-Dade County.
