Hedrick Brothers Construction has broken ground on a multi-year campus improvement program at The Club at Ibis in West Palm Beach. Selected as Construction Manager at Risk, the firm will oversee a phased series of renovations and new construction across the private club campus, with preconstruction and site activities having commenced on August 4, 2026.
The first phase will focus on interior renovations to the Main Clubhouse. Future phases are planned across the North and South Campus and will include upgrades to the main racquet facilities, new pickleball and padel courts, construction of a new spa building, and the creation of a Member Activity Center within the former Property Owners Association building.
Additional work will include new bocce and basketball courts, a complete renovation and expansion of the Fitness Center, and the addition of a new casual restaurant with outdoor seating.
“This project reflects exactly the type of complex, high-end work our team is built to deliver,” said Burk Hedrick, Chief Operating Officer of Hedrick Brothers Construction. “The Club at Ibis is recognized for delivering an exceptional member experience, and our responsibility is to enhance that experience while maintaining the seamless daily operations members expect. Our team’s expertise in occupied campus construction, careful planning, and logistical coordination allows us to execute improvements with minimal disruption while delivering the highest level of craftsmanship.”
Construction is being organized through a multi-year phasing plan intended to maintain club operations throughout the work. Hedrick Brothers stated that the sequencing will prioritize member safety, operational continuity, and coordination between active areas of the campus and construction zones.
“The Club at Ibis has always been committed to providing an exceptional experience for our members, and selecting the right partner to help bring the next evolution of our project to life was incredibly important,” said Sharon Meirav, General Manager and COO of The Club at Ibis. “We chose Hedrick Brothers because of their clear understanding of what it takes to successfully execute a project of this scale, while maintaining an active club environment. We look forward to working together to create spaces and amenities that will serve our members for many years to come.”
Project leadership from Hedrick Brothers Construction includes Bob Cashin providing executive oversight, David Rawdon serving as project manager and primary club liaison, Brad Harrison and Eric Hudson as lead superintendents, and Chief Estimator Ryan Hutchins leading preconstruction.
Hedrick Brothers Construction has previously completed work at private club communities including BallenIsles Country Club and Old Palm Golf Club. The firm’s work at BallenIsles received Second Place for Amenity of the Year in the Multiple Amenities category in the 2026 Golf Inc. Awards, while the Old Palm Clubhouse Renovation was named 2024 Golf Inc. Clubhouse of the Year.
“This project represents another important milestone for Hedrick Brothers Construction as we continue expanding our portfolio of premier hospitality and luxury community projects throughout South Florida,” added Hedrick. “We’re honored by the trust The Club at Ibis has placed in our team and look forward to delivering improvements that will serve members for generations.”
