Miami-based Housing Trust Group (HTG) is advancing with an affordable housing development in South Florida.
Lakeview at Naranja will feature 252,486 square feet of rentable space and feature two phases. The first will host 203 apartments and 264 parking spots, while the latter would host 125 apartments and 207 spots – a grand total of 328 residences and 467 parking spots. The affordable housing units would be reserved for households earning between 30 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI).
The eight-story development will feature 11,466 square feet of commercial space, and HTG will invest $3.3 million in various infrastructural improvements, including enhanced lakefront and pedestrian access.

As noted, HTG is the developer. The Naranja Lakes Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) selected the firm to work on the project; it sold the site for an undisclosed “nominal amount” and extended a $7 million loan.
The venture is estimated to cost around $126.4 million to complete. The CRA itself purchased the 27,260-square-foot site for $12.62 million in 2025. It currently hosts what sources call a “blighted” retail center; it would be demolished to make way for new construction.r
Lakeview at Naranja is slated for 27501 and 27525 S. Dixie Highway, Homestead, Florida, 33032, in Miami-Dade County.
