The Related Group, Tate Capital, and Rok Acquisitions have unveiled plans for The Bahia Mar Club, a one-acre private waterfront recreational and wellness facility planned as part of The St. Regis Residences, Bahia Mar, Fort Lauderdale, a $2 billion, 40-acre mixed-use development in Fort Lauderdale. Designed by landscape architecture firm EDSA, the club will be reserved exclusively for residential owners and will feature a collection of outdoor recreational facilities, landscaped gathering areas, and wellness amenities. The larger development is designed by Arquitectonica, with interiors by Tara Bernerd & Partners.

The Bahia Mar Club will provide residents with 24-hour access to a series of outdoor amenities organized around recreation, wellness, and social activities. Plans call for a tennis court and padel court accompanied by a courtside viewing gallery, along with a clubhouse serviced by St. Regis and an outdoor lap pool surrounded by daybeds, lounge seating, and tropical landscaping.

“When we looked at the site, we took a step back and asked what would create the ultimate lifestyle for residents through a lens of well-being,” said Nick Pérez, President of Condominium Development at The Related Group. “Very few coastal developments in the world offer homeowners exclusive access to this much private waterfront land.”

Additional outdoor spaces will include The Green, an open lawn intended for yoga, tai chi, stretching, and informal gatherings. A summer kitchen and adjoining social patio will accommodate private entertaining, while a serenity garden will provide a separate landscaped area for relaxation. Other planned features include a children’s playground and a waterfront sunset terrace with fire pits.

The club’s landscape design by EDSA incorporates flowering vegetation, palm trees, and shaded seating areas throughout the grounds. The outdoor facilities are intended to accommodate residents of different age groups, with recreational spaces distributed across the one-acre property.

The Bahia Mar Club will supplement approximately 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities planned within The Residences. These facilities will include a full-service spa, fitness center, private dining room, billiards lounge, and children’s entertainment room.

The larger Bahia Mar redevelopment encompasses approximately 40 acres along Fort Lauderdale’s waterfront. The $2 billion project is planned to include a 78-residence condominium tower, a 122-key St. Regis hotel, and 106 resort residences. Arquitectonica is overseeing the architectural design, while London-based Tara Bernerd & Partners is responsible for the interiors.

The development will also incorporate a 250-slip deepwater marina capable of accommodating yachts measuring up to 350 feet in length. Additional components include Marina Village, a full-service beach club, restaurants, retail spaces, and other commercial uses. These facilities will serve the broader development, while The Bahia Mar Club will remain exclusive to residential owners.

“From the marina and waterfront to dining, recreation and hospitality, we’ve always envisioned Bahia Mar as a place where residents can experience the very best of Fort Lauderdale without having to leave home,” said Jimmy Tate, CEO and President of Tate Capital. “The Bahia Mar Club takes that vision a step further, giving our residents a private place to focus on wellness, recreation and time together. They’ll be able to move from morning yoga to lunch at Marina Village, an afternoon on the water and dinner at a premier restaurant, with every part of the day unfolding at Bahia Mar. That fully realized lifestyle is what my family and I, along with Sergio Rok, envisioned when we first became stewards of this land almost 15 years ago.”
