Orlando Health hopes to build a medical center on Lake Mary Wellness & Technology Park’s 150-acre campus––and the project’s already taking shape with a new 122-room hotel. The 71,764-square-foot hotel will measure four stories above grade.
It’s a Home2Suites by Hilton. Launched in 2009, there are over 380 Home2Suites by Hilton in existence. The brand, generally known for being pet-friendly, offers rooms with separate sleeping areas and full-sized kitchens. Amenities for this hotel will include a conference room and pool. GrowthSpotter reports that the hotel may also feature a fitness area, which is commonly featured in newer Home2Suites models.
Highgate Hotels purchased the 2.78-acre build site for $2.1 million. It partnered with Mitchell Carlson Stone Inc. / MCS Architects, LLC on the hotel’s design and KPM Franklin on its civil engineering.
The new hotel is just one of many ventures headed for Lake Mary Wellness & Technology Park. As noted, Orlando Health hopes to break ground soon on its $500 million medical center. It will comprise 135 beds and offer obstetric and NICU services, among others. In 2021, construction began on Sonata Senior Living, an assisted living facility. It offers rooms for seniors ranging from 765 square feet to 1,550 square feet each.
Home2Suites by Hilton’s address is listed as New Technology Boulevard, Lake Mary, Florida, 32746, in Seminole County.
