Habitus Edgewater HF B LLC hopes to move forward with an eight-story hotel in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. The 50,902-square-foot hotel would be under the Sonder banner, offering 61 rooms.
London + Regional Properties submitted an Administrative Site Plan Review (ASPR) application with Miami-Dade County on October 24 to develop two eight-story mixed-use buildings on the Pullman Miami Airport hotel site at 5800 Blue Lagoon Drive. The proposal outlines plans for 600 new residential units spread across two buildings on the hotel’s existing parking lot. The 10-acre site, currently home to the 281-room hotel, was acquired by London + Regional Properties in 2019. The pre-application filing for this project was previously covered earlier this month.
BD Hotels has secured a $75 million construction loan to develop a 201-room hotel, the Nora Hotel, in the emerging NORA District of West Palm Beach. Metropolitan Commercial Bank provided the loan, which JLL’s Steven Klein and Mark Fisher arranged for financing. BD Hotels is working with NORA District master developers NDT Development, Place Projects, and Wheelock Street Capital.
North Carolina-based BPR Properties has filed plans for a Homewood Suites. It would measure four stories above grade and offer 131 rooms. Upon completion, it would join the 20-plus hotels near JAX.
A dual-branded Marriott hotel is being proposed just off Florida’s Turnpike in Miramar, marking another significant development in the growing area. The City Commission is set to review the site plan for the Fairfield Inn & TownePlace Suites on October 16. The project is being developed by Miramar Park Hotels, led by Sanjaykumar Patel, Sadhanaben Patel, and Akesha Sanjay, with Fort Lauderdale-based Luckey’s Management at the helm.
