A dual-branded Marriott hotel is being proposed just off Florida’s Turnpike in Miramar, marking another significant development in the growing area. The City Commission is set to review the site plan for the Fairfield Inn & TownePlace Suites on October 16. The project is being developed by Miramar Park Hotels, led by Sanjaykumar Patel, Sadhanaben Patel, and Akesha Sanjay, with Fort Lauderdale-based Luckey’s Management at the helm.

The development is planned on a 3.36-acre vacant property at the southeast corner of Red Road and Marks Way, adjacent to the Florida Turnpike. This location is near the Hampton Inn and SpringHill Suites hotels and within the Miramar Park of Commerce. The subject property is part of the Miramar Park of Commerce—Phase V plat, approved in 2001. It holds a Regional Activity Center land use designation and a Planned Industrial Development (PID) zoning classification, which permits hotels by right.

The proposed hotel will encompass 99,798 square feet across seven stories, featuring 160 rooms split between the two Marriott brands. The Fairfield Inn will consist of 84 rooms, ranging from 254 to 482 square feet, while the TownePlace Suites will include 76 extended-stay rooms, ranging from 399 to 498 square feet. In addition to guest accommodations, the hotel will offer a variety of amenities, including a ground-floor pool, fire pit, grills, a lounge, a fitness room, a library, and a buffet area. The project is also set to provide 162 surface parking spaces.

The hotel’s architectural design has been spearheaded by Lake Worth Beach-based architect George White, known for his work on various regional hospitality projects. The development team also includes several key consultants and engineering teams, such as EA3 Civil Engineering, Taveras Engineering Inc., Beacon Consulting Engineers, Brothers Fire Protection, Aquatic Consulting Engineers, and Murakami Landscape Architects.
