Construction on Hotel Maren, a 12-story luxury resort owned by Hilton, has continued construction as of April 2021. There will be 230,000 square feet of new construction and feature 137 units. There will also be a parking garage that features 98 parking spaces for both guests and hotel workers.
In addition to state-of-the-art facilities, the hotel will also have a VIP room, bar, restaurant, and lounging space. It will also have a balcony where guests can get a bird’s eye view of the area.
Hotel Maren has been undergoing construction as early as 2016 but is slated for completion sometime in 2021. Construction was halted because of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the millions of dollars in liens put on the property. Construction on the building itself is estimated to be anywhere from $35 million to $55 million.
When the building is finished, it will be in the modernism architectural style. Modernism is characterized by glass exteriors, straight skylines, and rectangular shapes. On some construction documents, Hotel Maren is referred to as the “Las Olas Ocean Resort.”
The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Ft. Lauderdale by A1A. Its physical address is 545 South Fort Lauderdale Beach Avenue, 33316. Per Architect Magazine, the building was designed by Adache Group Architects.
