AMC Development Group has submitted revised plans for an apartment complex in southern Miami-Dade County. Originally, AMC Park apartments was to comprise 512 units.
However, the developer is requesting fewer units after getting feedback from county officials. The new proposal calls for 248 apartments, ranging from 682 square feet to 944 square feet each.
The build site could measure 6.6 acres.
There would be one-bedroom and two-bedroom floorplans to choose from, and about 13 percent would be designated at workforce housing. The 248 units would be in a three-story building, which would offer a swimming pool, children’s playground, and 376 parking spots—about 1.5 spots per unit.
AMC Development Group first filed the pre-application in March 2023. The developer purchased the 6.6-acre build site for $3.5 million in 2022. Google Earth’s renderings show a single-family house on the parcel; it was foreclosed on several years ago.
The development is slated for Miami-Dade County.
If these plans get approval, construction could start on AMC Park apartments next year, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed. The developer must first get the area rezoned from “median-high density” to “high density apartment house district.”
Attorney Alberto J. Torres is representing the application. Miami-based Cabrera Ramos Architects designed AMC Park apartments. The venture could soon unfold at 12501 S.W. 236th St., Homestead, FL, 33032, in Miami-Dade County.
