Developer Wellington Lifestyle Partners hopes to move forward with Wellington North, a residential housing complex in South Florida. The project involves annexing 96 acres from the Equestrian Preserve, which presently spans 9,000 acres.
Wellington North upon completion would rest on 101.9 acres. The complex, backed by star investors such as Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake, would offer a mix of homes. Per the South Florida Business Journal, they include 59 single-family homes, 36 townhouses, and 11 condos.
On-site amenities would include a golf driving range, swimming pool, fitness center, and tennis and pickleball courts. This wasn’t the only proposed plan for Wellington North. Previously, the venture offered 278 condos. This plan never came to fruition, as developers favored a proposal that allowed for a lower residential density.
Wellington North has faced an uphill battle on its journey to completion. According to the Real Deal, three of the five members on the Wellington Village Council expressed doubts over whether they’d approve the venture—despite developers expanding the amount of green space. It was increased from 50 to 59 acres.
Our sources as of January 2024 did not indicate when the Council would vote on Wellington North. If the project secured approval, it would be located at “northeast corner of South Shore Boulevard and Pierson Road” in Wellington, Florida, 33414, in Palm Beach County.
