A local South Florida developer hopes to get approval for an eight-story housing development that would offer both two-bedroom and three-bedroom floorplans. Vielix Investments has proposed Vielix 441, which would feature 36 units and measure about 900 square feet to 1,230 square feet each. There would be 73 parking spots (about two per unit).
The South Florida Business Journal reports that the homes will feature large balconies, with some units offering dens. While there are no major amenity areas planned, the complex could comprise 47,548 square feet of new construction. Of that square footage, 2,500 would be reserved as commercial space.
Fitz Murphy of Senga Architecture designed the mid-rise development. As noted, Hollywood-based Vielix Investments is the developer. Founded in 2020, the limited liability corporation purchased the vacant build site for $900,000 in June 2023. Hollywood’s Technical Advisory Committee will consider its proposal on March 4th.
Vielix 441 is just one of many residential projects planned west of Young Circle in Hollywood. Developers in the region are hoping to cash in on Florida’s cooling market. Vielix 441 would be made possible by a recent rezoning of the 441 corridor.
It could soon take shape at 2127 North State Road 7, Hollywood, Florida, 33021, in Broward County.
