Construction continues on RISE Glen Kernan Park, a 55 and older community in Jacksonville, Florida. Located at the entrance of the Glen Kernan neighborhood, the venture will offer 74 cottages and 234 apartments, per the Jacksonville Daily Record.
RISE Glen Kernan Park will offer two residential layout plans: one-bedroom and one-bathroom units, and two-bedroom and two-bathroom units. Communal amenities include a dog park, fitness center, clubhouse, and indoor lounging areas. Plans also include a heated swimming pool with cabanas and daybeds. The tree-lined neighborhood will also feature an eight-acre pond.
RISE Glen Kernan Park will comprise more than 336,300 square feet on a 48.52-acre lot, with the project itself costing an estimated $94.45 million. According to the Jacksonville Business Journal, Rise: A Real Estate Company is the developer and general contractor.
Niles Bolton Associates is the architect. The community will be developed in phases, with the first tenants expected to move in early 2025.
RISE Glen Kernan Park offers more than age-restricted housing. Another facet of the project includes a gas station and car wash, along with a seven-story Embassy Suites hotel on a nearby property. The hotel will feature 174 rooms, and it’s owned by Southern Venture Corp.
RISE Glen Kernan Park will be located at 12931 Whisperleaf Terrace, Jacksonville, FL, 32224, in Duval County.
