An affiliate of Onyx Housing Group hopes to get approval for a multi-family housing development on farmland in Miami-Dade County.
The Naranja Grove Apartments would require 318,108 square feet of new construction, rising eight stories and comprising 285 apartments. According to the South Florida Business Journal, the one-bedroom to three-bedroom homes would range from 638 to 1,206 square feet. Communal amenities would include a swimming pool and residents’ clubhouse.
Aside from the residential aspect, current plans call for 2,850 square feet of retail and 332 parking spots, about 1.165 per unit. Naranja Grove Apartments LLC is the developer.
Per the Real Deal, the firm purchased the build site for $6 million. In February, the publication reported that early plans for the complex called for two eight-story buildings, offering 278 workforce housing units.
In addition to the Naranja Grove Apartments, Onyx Housing Group is working on another venture: Princeton Gardens. That venture is expected to yield a nine-story and two three-story buildings in southern Miami-Dade County, offering a total of 337 units.
Construction is expected to end on that project in 2026. Behar Font & Partners designed the Naranja Grove Apartments. It could get the greenlight for 23435 S.W. 127th Ave., Homestead, FL, 33032, in Miami-Dade County.
