‘Bayou Court Apartments’ Tops Out at 4201 4th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL

In December 2023, Florida YIMBY reported on Bayou Court Apartments, a housing development in South St. Petersburg. Now, eight months later, we have an update on this emerging venture. St. Pete Rising reports that the mid-rise venture has officially topped out, drawing the project closer to completion.

Bayou Court Apartments is a 60-unit complex with homes divided amongst three three-story buildings. Each home will feature a three-bedroom layout plan, available to those making 50 percent to 120 percent of the area median income (AMI). According to the City of St. Petersburg, that means residency for a one-person household would range between $33,450 to  $80,280 a year.

Washington D.C.-based Gravel Road Partners acquired the two-acre property for $1.7 million in 2022, with construction starting earlier this year. Previously, the build site was home to The Old Landmark Cathedral of God, which was demolished prior to the start of construction.

Involved parties on Bayou Court Apartments include locally based Place Architecture, Park & Eleazor Construction, and a host of other in-state and out-of-state firms. Bayou Court Apartments is scheduled to finish construction in mid-2025, located at 4201 4th Street South, St. Petersburg, FL, 33705, in Pinellas County.
