The Adderley, an affordable housing development in Tampa, has nearly finished construction and will welcome residents in late September. Construction began on the venture in March 2023, a partnership between Blue Skies Communities and the City of Tampa.
The mid-rise community will offer 128 units, with residences spanning from one-bedroom to three-bedroom layout plans. Per the Adderley’s website, homes measuring 705 to 1,250 square feet, with in-unit amenities including energy-efficient appliances.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that residency is reserved for those earning between 30 percent to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI). Communal amenities include a swimming pool, meeting space, a clubhouse, and other on-site offerings. The Adderley 2, the venture’s second phase, has not yet started construction.
Our sources note that it’s currently in its planning and funding stages. It’s intended to be a bit smaller than the first phase, offering 100 one-bedroom and two-bedroom residences for seniors. Eligibility will be reserved for those making at or below 80 percent of the AMI. It’s expected to cost $35 million to complete and is anticipated to finish construction by the end of 2026.
The Adderley’s first phase is located at 9300 North Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33612, in Hillsborough County.
