Skanska has completed construction of Marina Club Apartments, a 400-unit mixed-use residential community at 4341 34th Street South in St. Petersburg’s Skyway Marina District. The project was developed by Allied Group Holdings, led by Jack Dougherty, with design by Architectonics Studio Inc.
The development comprises studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 500 to 1,200 square feet. The property sits overlooking Boca Ciega Bay and offers views toward the downtown St. Petersburg skyline.

“As a builder active in St. Petersburg for decades, Skanska has played a key role in supporting the city’s rapid population growth and ongoing migration by delivering essential infrastructure and community assets,” said Tracy Hunt, executive vice president and general manager of Skanska Florida. “With more people moving to St. Petersburg, the need for high-quality multifamily developments has never been greater. By leveraging precast methods, we’re able to bring projects like the Marina Club Apartments to market in a faster and more efficient and resilient manner.”

The project incorporates a two-story podium garage totaling 290,000 square feet, providing parking for residents and visitors. Ground-floor retail space is designed to accommodate restaurant and service-oriented tenants.
Skanska participated early in the design phase to coordinate common areas and circulation spaces throughout the development.
The contractor’s recent work in the Tampa Bay region includes the renovation and expansion of the Tampa Convention Center, the St. Petersburg Pier and Pier Approach, the Gateway at the pier, Coachman Park in Downtown Clearwater, and the University of South Florida Health’s Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute at Water Street Tampa.
