Developer Graham Cos. has presented new plans for an apartment complex in Miami Lakes. Previously, in September 2024, the firm wanted to proceed with the Lakeside apartments – and before that, hoped to collaborate on a senior living venture with Miami Jewish Health. Yet, those plans never came to fruition.

Revised plans call for a 541-unit apartment complex that would occupy 12.6 acres of a larger 22.2-acre site. Homes would range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom units; the apartments themselves would be spread over 14 buildings measuring three to five stories above grade. Roger Fry & Associates Architects designed the community. Conceptual renderings show the homes are created in a Mediterranean style with barrel roof tiles.

Before the 541-unit development can proceed, it needs various approvals from city officials. One of those approvals involves having the Miami Lakes Planning and Zoning Board rezone the site from industrial and office to medium density residential. Although the apartment complex will only occupy 12.6 acres, the rezoning concerns the entire site. This could pave the way for future developments.

Graham Cos.’s proposal concerns the site at 14610 Oak Lane, Miami Lakes, Florida, 33016, in Miami-Dade County.  The property is currently vacant and owned by TGC Village LLC, an affiliate of the Graham Cos.
