The Graham Cos. is shifting plans for a multi-family housing development in Miami Lakes. Previously, the developer secured a zoning approval for a senior living facility on the 9.5-acre site. Now, it hopes to move forward with the Lakeside apartments, which would offer 220 units in four four-story buildings.
The one-bedroom to three-bedroom units would span 750 to 1,409 square feet each. Communal amenities include a fitness center and swimming pool. In total, the venture will comprise just over 292,000 square feet of new construction.
Miami-based Roger Fry & Associates Architects designed the project. TGC Village LLC, an affiliate of the Graham Cos., presently owns the vacant site. Miami’s Town Council has plans to review the new site plan on Tuesday.
The Graham Cos.’ last significant development in the area was the 6600 Main apartments and Crescent Pointe building in 2019. The South Florida Business Journal reports that the Graham Cos. filed plans to replace Shula’s Hotel and the former Shula’s Steakhouse with apartments, but those plans haven’t yet come to fruition.
The Lakeside apartments could soon unfold at 14650 Oak Lane, Miami Lakes, FL, 33016, in Miami-Dade County. It would lie west of Florida 826 and south of Veteran’s Park.
