Ytech has announced plans to expand the historic Nolan House at 1548 Brickell Avenue in Brickell into the firm’s permanent corporate headquarters and a multi-project Experience Gallery. Led by CEO Yamal Yidios, the Miami-based developer has secured $25 million in construction financing from Banesco USA for the project, which will add a five-story expansion adjacent to the estate’s west façade and bring the property to a total of 32,686 square feet. Recreational Design & Construction, Inc. will serve as general contractor. The property was originally completed in 1926 as the residence of banker George E. Nolan.

The expansion is intended to consolidate Ytech’s development, brand, marketing, and sales operations into a single location as the company continues to grow its portfolio along Brickell Avenue. According to the development team, Nolan House will function as a permanent sales and marketing environment for multiple projects, while also serving as the firm’s long-term headquarters.

“This expansion is about optimizing our operating model to create a leap in value for both the broker community and our buyers,” said Yamal Yidios, CEO of Ytech. “Our objective is to be the benchmark for quality in this market, and that requires aligning design, construction, marketing, sales, and our projects’ various sales galleries under one roof. It builds accountability, creates disciplined execution, and drives growth through the quality of the customer experience.”

The next phase of Nolan House will include interior design by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, the Milan-based studio led by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. The firm previously designed the interiors for Nolan House and The Residences at 1428 Brickell, the latter of which is currently more than 60 percent sold. Miami-based historic preservation architect Jorge Hernandez will serve as Design Architect and oversee the integration of the new vertical expansion with the preserved structure.

To preserve the integrity of the original building, the design team is coordinating the addition with the home’s existing neoclassical architecture, which is distinguished by its two-story Corinthian portico and prominent placement along Brickell Avenue. Ytech acquired the property in 2021 and completed a $22 million restoration that converted the interior into an immersive sales gallery for The Residences at 1428 Brickell while retaining the mansion’s historic character.

“The success of this project is in the integration. We are protecting the defining elements of the original structure while designing an addition that is proportionate, compatible, and sensitively detailed,” added Jorge Hernandez, historic preservation architect and Design Architect. “When it is complete, the experience will feel unified, as if the property was always intended to evolve in this way.”

Expansion work at Nolan House is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026, with completion anticipated by the end of 2027.

  1. Wonderful news! Wish that this fate had been shared by other historic properties that have been lost.
