Developer Greenzone Property Hallandale 770 LLC is moving forward with a project that intends to redevelop a large portion of the Big Easy Casino in Broward County.
Greenzone is set to comprise two eight-story towers, featuring a total of 278 residential units. They would range from 499-square-foot efficiencies to 1,050-square-foot two-bedroom apartments. In-unit features would include floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies; communal amenities would include a swimming pool, children’s playground, and two pickleball courts.
In addition to the residential aspect, Greenzone would host 17,745 square feet of ground-floor retail space on the building’s northern, southern, and western parts. Residents and shoppers would have access to 391 parking spots.

As noted, Greenzone Property Hallandale 770 LLC is the developer. The firm purchased Greenzone’s 3.09-acre build site for $12 million. The site, which formerly hosted the Hollywood Greyhound Track, now hosts the Big Easy Casino.
SKLARchitecture is the architect. Site plans show that the two towers would be atop a parking podium. At its highest point, the mid-rise buildings would measure 94 feet at the roofline. Floridian Development reports that at full capacity, Greenzone could house 560 residents.
Greenzone is slated for 501 NE 7th Street, Hallandale Beach, Florida, 33009, in Broward County.
