A Tampa-based developer is proceeding with a master-planned townhome development in Pasco County. The project intends to meet the growing demand for housing in one of Florida’s fastest-growing regions.

Eisenhower Property Group intends to build Verona, a 2,500-home development on about 1,500 acres. The 2,500 residences would be built by multiple builders, with 850 being under the Explore by Del Webb banner (operated by PulteGroup).

Verona itself will be part of a larger 3,500-acre development, though much of that would be preserved as open green space, agricultural land, or used as recreational areas. Communal amenities are set to include a resort-style swimming pool, fitness center, and pickleball courts. Additional offerings include a dog park, picnic areas, and interconnected walking trails. Sales for Verona are expected to launch in 2027.

The project is still in its infancy; additional homebuilders will be announced before the end of this year. As noted, Eisenhower Property Group is the developer. The firm recently launched another community: Hillcrest, a townhome project located near State Road 52. The venture comprises homes from a variety of homebuilders, including Taylor Morrison, Lennar, Perry Homes, and Dream Finders Homes.

Verona would be located along State Road 52 in Pasco County, west of Interstate 75.
