Construction has started on a low-rise multifamily development in North Miami – two years after the project was initially proposed.

NoMi Botanik (or just “Botanik”, according to some sources) is set to measure four stories above grade, three of which will be habitable levels. The venture will feature 48 units, 17 of which will be one-bedroom units. NoMi Botanik’s bottom level will host 65 covered parking spots. In total, it will feature close to 30,000 square feet of new construction.

Botanik Venture LLC, an affiliate of Project Land, is the developer. The El-Portal based developer purchased the project’s 0.68-acre build site for $1.4 million in October 2024. Prior to the start of groundbreaking, the site was vacant.

Botanik Venture LLC is also acting as the general contractor. Sources suggest that Miami-based Gaviria Architects designed NoMi Botanik. From the firm’s website: “Elevated on pilings, the three-level structure is organized around balconies with rounded and curved edges, featuring metal railings and glass panels behind them.”

NoMi Botanik will be located just a few blocks from the Museum of Contemporary Art at 12290 NE 6th Ave, North Miami, FL, 33161, in Miami-Dade County.
