Foundation work is underway for Palma Miami Beach, a 14-story condominium development at 600 71st Street in Miami Beach’s North Beach neighborhood. Developed by Lefferts and designed by Built Form, the project is being built by KAST Construction and will include condominium residences, ground-floor retail, and structured parking.
General contractor KAST Construction recently shared an update on LinkedIn stating that construction is underway and that the project will feature 121 condominium units, ground-floor retail, a structured parking garage, and more than 167,000 square feet of new construction. KAST also noted that augercast pile installation is underway as foundation work begins, and that Palma marks the contractor’s first project with the Built Form team. The development is also pursuing LEED Gold certification.
Residences are planned as fully furnished one- and two-bedroom layouts ranging from approximately 405 to 1,342 square feet. Interiors will feature private balconies, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling impact-resistant glass, along with European-style kitchens equipped with Bosch appliances, stone countertops and backsplashes, and contemporary cabinetry. Bathrooms will include stone finishes, porcelain sinks, frameless glass showers, and premium fixtures, while each residence will also be equipped with an in-unit washer and dryer, high-speed Wi-Fi, and energy-efficient climate control.
The project will also introduce approximately 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail and more than 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities designed by Studio Ramirez, including a resort-style pool deck, wellness hot tub, cold plunge, Technogym-equipped fitness center, media and game lounge, outdoor summer kitchen, private lounge with indoor and outdoor bar seating, and a double-height attended lobby.
