A partnership between a U.S. and India-based developer are proceeding with a hotel in South Florida. It will be a Tribute-branded hotel under the Marriott banner.
The hotel is set to measure eight stories above grade, about 100,000 square feet of new construction. Plans for the boutique hotel call for 168 hotel rooms and 1,500 square feet of retail space. JMZ Group is representing the developers’ application. Arquitectonica is the architect.

Coral Gables-based Codina Partners and MICL Global are the two developers. The pair purchased the hotel’s 0.92-acre build site for $14.36 million. Our sources report that while the site wouldn’t host parking, guests would have access to a neighboring parking garage. The hotel, situated in the ever-expanding downtown Doral, would mostly cater to international tourists and business travelers.
Codina Group has a few projects in its pipeline, some of which Florida YIMBY has recently covered. One such venture is Regency Parc, a 20-story luxury tower in downtown Coral Gables. The venture is slated to feature 126 “Sky Residences” ranging from 1,700 to more than 12,000 square feet.
The mid-rise Tribute hotel is planned for the southeast corner of Northwest 53rd Terrace and Paseo Boulevard, Doral, Florida, 33166, in Miam-Dade County.
