Yesterday, the Pompano Beach Development Review Committee considered plans for a hotel that would replace a small commercial building.
Developer 2701 East Atlantic Ave LLC intends to proceed with a five-story hotel that would feature just 36 rooms. The boutique hotel would span close to 30,000 square feet of new construction; yet, unlike other hotels in the area, there would be few amenities – and no swimming pool.
Still, guests would have access to 55 parking spots, 30 of which would be in an automated parking garage. If brought to fruition, the hotel would occupy a 15,250-square-foot site. The parcel currently hosts an 8,402-square-foot office building built in the 1960s.

FSMY Architects + Planners designed the hotel. The Fort Lauderdale-based firm has a host of projects in its pipeline, many of which are high-end Class A multifamily developments.
Pompano Beach, as with much of South Florida, is seeing an increase in the construction of high-end luxury developments, from hotels to residences. This past February, Florida YIMBY reported on one such venture: W Pompano Beach Hotel & Residences, a 24-story condo-hotel with nine penthouses.
The five-story, 35-unit hotel is slated for 2701 E Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL, 33062, in Broward County.
