An affiliate of Redwood Dev Co wants to proceed with a workforce/affordable housing venture in Miami-Dade County.
Plans involve redeveloping the three-acre Annie Coleman site into a multi-phase community with residences and retail. A recent proposal from Magasi Redwood AC Holdings I LLC calls for 180 units in eight stories, with floorplans ranging from one-bedroom to five-bedroom layouts. They would range from about 680 to 1,800 square feet.
Residency would be available for households earning up to 80 and 120 percent of the area median income (AMI). Other features of the eight-story venture include 6,455 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and 388 parking spots: 362 in a covered parking garage and the remaining 26 at surface-level.

Future phases of the Annie Coleman endeavor could include for-sale townhomes and more apartments. Reprtwar is the architect.
As noted, Magasi Redwood AC Holdings I LLC is the developer. The firm submitted a pre-application on Friday, where the firm hopes to get community feedback and learn of other possible complications before proceeding with the formal application process. Redwood Dev Co has other similar redevelopment projects in its pipeline, including the Gwen Cherry endeavor, also in Miami.
The Annie Coleman redevelopment project is planned for 2415 to 2479 N.W. 50th Street, Miami, Florida, 33142, in Miami-Dade County.
