Palmera on the River is a luxury housing complex coming to Fort Myers, FL. The Construction Journal reports that the $56.6 million project is expected to start construction in June 2022 and will ideally conclude in 2023.
According to Sight Real Estate’s website, multiple eight-story concrete buildings will feature over 210 units, ranging from studio apartments to penthouses. In-unit amenities feature balconies, stainless steel appliances, and waterfront views.
Amenities include a covered garage with over 300 spots.
Communal amenities include a resort-style pool, an open-air courtyard, chef’s kitchen, and more. Conceptual renderings show a multi-level parking garage covered in what appears to be creeping figs. It provides parking for over 300 vehicles.
According to the City of Fort Myers’ website, the complex will add $36.6 million to the city’s tax base. But that’s not all. It will also create over 640 jobs. Developers are also hoping to hire minority-owned companies in Lee County to aid in the project’s construction.
The building features over 200 units, ranging from studios to penthouses.
Bessolo Design Group, Inc. designed the project. The firm has 44 active projects, costing a total of $437 million. Suffolk Construction, an Estero-based firm, is also involved in the venture.
Palmera on the River’s address is 2543 First Street, Fort Myers, FL, 33901, in Lee County. It’s located on the bank of the Caloosahatchee River and east of I-75.
