Lofty Brickell Receives Height Increase And Design Changes In Newly Revealed Renderings

New renderings has been released to the public of Lofty Brickell, a short-term rental tower being planned for 99 Southwest 7th Street – a prime location facing the Miami River in Brickell. Arquitectonica remains as the design architect for the building, which based on the renderings has been increased to nearly 50 stories, up from the previously planned 37-stories. The rendering of the tower facing southeast towards the Metrorail bridge was first posted in a paid advertisement from The Real Deal with details on unit pricing. Newgard Development Group is developer behind the efforts to redevelop the site, which will eventually give rise to three towers.

Demolition Permits Filed For Newgard Development Group’s Lofty Brickell Site At 99 SW 7th Street

Miami’s Department of Buildings has received an application for demolition permits from Newgard Development Group for 99 Southwest 7th Street in Brickell, where the developer is planning to build three towers. The interior lot sits across the street from Brickell City Centre, spans over 70,000 square feet, and is currently improved with a 20,00-square-foot commercial structure. Little detail is known of the project as a whole, but we do know the first of the three towers will be known as Lofty Brickell, a 35-story mixed-use building containing branded condos, high-end apartments and a hotel. The structure would rise approximately nearly 400-feet over the Miami River and feature designs from Arquitectonica.

Newgard Development Group Plans Short-Term Rental Tower Across From Brickell City Centre

Miami-based Newgard Development Group, led by Harvey Hernandez, is planning to redevelop a massive 90,000-square-foot assemblage across the street from Brickell City Centre. According to the Miami Herald, the developer recently closed on the property for a staggering $50.75 million. The proposed project is named Lofty Brickell, and although it is unclear what exactly is planned for this development, we do know that it’ll may be a 35-story skyscraper oriented towards the short-term rental market. Owners will have the ease of renting out their units for vacation-length stays via online platforms such as Airbnb, Vrbo and Expedia. Arquitectonica is listed as the design architect on the official website for the property.
