Developers Complete Utilities Deal With Miami-Dade County For 31-Story Tower At 600 Miami Worldcenter

The 31-story 600 Miami Worldcenter (600 MWC) has reached a significant development milestone, with the developers securing a utility agreement from Miami-Dade’s Water and Sewer Department. This agreement is essential for providing services to the building, marking notable progress in this pre-construction phase of the project. Designed by Revuelta Architecture International and featuring interiors by Designagency, the development is a joint venture between Aria Development and Merrimac Ventures under the 55 NE 6TH ACQUISITION LLC. The 327-foot-tall structure is set to rise at 600 Northeast 1st Avenue, bordered by Northeast 6th Street to the south and train tracks to the north. OneWorld Properties is exclusively managing sales and marketing for the project. Miami’s Urban Development Review Board recommended approval for 600 MWC in July.

Demolition permits have been issued for the 26,946-square-foot building at 1016 Northeast 2nd Avenue, the eastern parcel of Miami Worldcenter’s Block A. The building, which formerly served as the sales center for the Paramount Miami Worldcenter, is set to be completely razed to pave the way for an ambitious new development. TNG MWC LLC, an affiliate of the New York-based Naftali Group (Naftali), is spearheading the transformation of the 90,827-square-foot property and plans to erect a 65-story mixed-use tower on the site

Situated at 1016 Northeast 2nd Avenue, also recognized as the eastern parcel of Miami Worldcenter’s Block A, the demolition project encompasses removing a 26,946-square-foot structure, initially constructed in 1958 and expanded through 1981. The 90,827-square-foot property is poised for transformation. TNG MWC LLC, an affiliate of the New York-based Naftali Group (Naftali), is listed as the applicant of record, with plans to develop a 65-story mixed-use tower on the site.

Demolition permits have been filed for a 1.15-acre site along Southwest 1st Avenue between Southwest 8th and 9th Streets in Brickell, Miami, where a dual-tower mixed-use development named Sentral Brickell is planned Designed by Sieger Suarez Architects, the project is being developed by a collaboration between developer Property Markets Group (PMG) and prop-tech firm Sentral. The north tower of Sentral Brickell is expected to rise 43 stories, reaching a height of 480 feet, while the south tower is planned to be slightly shorter at 31 stories and 360 feet tall. BG Group LLC has been named as the contractor for the demolition scope.

On January 30, Miami’s Building Department approved a permit to demolish a 3-story office building located at 1400 Biscayne Boulevard. This demolition will clear the way for constructing Casa Bella by B&B Italia, a 55-story luxury residential condo tower designed by world-renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica, with interiors being designed by Piero Lissoni. The scope of work, estimated to cost $800,000, will involve the clearance of 249,978 square feet, and BG Group has been contracted as the demolition contractor.

Demolition permits have been issued for 300 Biscayne Boulevard, the development site of the upcoming 1,049-foot-tall Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences – Miami’s first skyscraper to reach supertall status. The 100-story mixed-use building is designed by Sieger Suarez Architects in collaboration with Carlos Ott, and being developed by New York City and Miami-based Property Markets Group with Canada-based Greybrook Realty Partner. The scope of work involves the full demolition of a 73-year old, 11,119-square-foot single-story structure tucked at the northwest corner of Biscayne Boulevard and Northeast 3rd Street. The BG Group is listed as the contractor for the work priced at $30,000.

Related Group Seeks Approval To Increase Miami Station Tower To 539-Feet In Overtown

The Federal Aviation Administration has received applications for Miami Station, a 41-story mixed-use building planned for 525 Northwest 2nd Avenue in Miami’s Overtown District. The tower has been submitted seeking approvals to rise 539-feet, or 546-feet above sea level, a significant increase from the previously reported 459-feet seen in the most recent UDRB application. Designed by ODP Architecture & Design and developed by the Related Group, the project is expected to yield 752,859 square feet including 200,234 square feet of office space, 309 residential units, 8,508 square feet of retail space and a parking garage for 510 vehicles. The FAA application was filed on November 9, 2021.
