On January 30, Miami’s Building Department approved a permit to demolish a 3-story office building located at 1400 Biscayne Boulevard. This demolition will clear the way for constructing Casa Bella by B&B Italia, a 55-story luxury residential condo tower designed by world-renowned architecture firm Arquitectonica, with interiors being designed by Piero Lissoni. The scope of work, estimated to cost $800,000, will involve the clearance of 249,978 square feet, and BG Group has been contracted as the demolition contractor.
Developers Related Group and Alta Developers have already applied for a construction permit for the 312-unit Casa Bella tower, which will sore 649 feet. The permit is currently undergoing active review, and the developers have hired MTCI Private Provider as the permit review expeditor. Coastal Construction will be the general contractor to ensure a smooth and efficient review process.
The location of 1400 Biscayne Boulevard, between Northeast 14th and 15th Streets on the eastern frontage of Biscayne Boulevard, is in the heart of Miami’s downtown area and is known for its vibrant atmosphere and proximity to iconic sights such as Biscayne Bay. The 2.69-acre development site is close to the Adrienne Arsht Station and the Metromover light rail.
Casa Bella by B&B Italia will offer residents luxurious finishes, high ceilings, and panoramic water views. The four upper penthouses will feature 12-foot ceilings and wrap-around terraces with views of the water and city. The tower will include two full-floor amenities: entertainment spaces, a wellness center, and spa facilities. Outdoor amenities include a pool deck with Italian-inspired gardens, a 78-foot lap pool, and a rooftop pool and terrace. The development of Casa Bella has generated much anticipation and excitement and is set to make a significant impact in the area once construction begins.
