Mast Capital and a controlled affiliate of Starwood Capital Group broke ground on The Perigon, a 17-story residential development at 5333 Collins Avenue, noted for its unique position as the only new beachfront condominium project currently under construction in Miami Beach, with completion anticipated for late 2026. Designed by the globally acclaimed architecture firm OMA with ODP Architecture & Design as the architect of record and boasting interiors by Tara Bernerd & Partners, this building will feature 73 private residences. These homes offer expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Miami city skyline, and Biscayne Bay, alongside over 20,000 square feet of unparalleled private amenities and exclusive dining experiences by Michelin-starred Chef Shaun Hergatt. Internationally recognized real estate development firm Sumaida + Khurana has announced that Pritzker Prize-winning architect Eduardo Souta de Moura will design its new Class A+ office building at the corner of Fifth Street and Alton Road. This is the first building in North and South America for Souta de Moura. Sumaida + Khurana is partnering with property owners Roslyn and Norton Nesis and Robert and Miriam Weiss of Weiss Properties for the project located in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood. Aaron Butler of Avenue Real Estate Partners structured the partnership. The design team also includes Zyscovich as the executive architect and Gabellini Sheppard designing the interior architecture. Sumaida + Khurana expects to start construction in 2025, with completion expected in the following year.

1940 Apartments LLC, a Sunny Isles Beach-based entity led by Erwin Sredni, Jonatan Sredni, and Scott Albus, has submitted plans for a transformative 5-story multi-family residential project at 1940 Bay Drive in the Normandy Isle area of Miami Beach. Envisioned by Revuelta Architecture International, with Gardner + Semler taking the helm for landscape architecture, the proposed 55-foot-tall structure is set to replace the existing 23-unit apartment complex, introducing 12 modern condominium units running from 2,807 to 3,019 square feet to the locale. The Design Review Board of Miami Beach will review the submitted plans today.

This nine-story residential building in Miami Beach, designed by the esteemed Arquitectonica with landscape architecture by Within Hults + Partners, adds 178 new units to the city’s housing market, establishing it as a premier location for upscale rental accommodations. Kaufman Lynn Construction, serving as the general contractor, recently showcased a video on LinkedIn celebrating the topping ceremony. JGR Construction, Inc. oversees the structural work, and US American Concrete oversees concrete tasks. Coastal Metal is responsible for metalwork, while AKO Plumbing Corp is the plumbing contractor. Morrow Equipment has two tower cranes at the site. Doka USA provides formwork solutions, and NV5, Inc. handles construction materials testing.

Designed by OMA with interior design by Tara Bernerd & Partners, the 213-foot-tall structure will offer 73 ultra-luxury residences, ranging from 2,100 to 6,700 square feet, in addition to eight private guest suites exclusively for residents.
