St. Thomas University, a private Catholic university in Opa-Locka North, Miami Gardens, FL, is slated to receive a new residence hall. The hall will be located on the college’s property and house the school’s growing population. As of 2016, the school had 9,878 students.

The residence hall is expected to cost $22 million and was designed by MKC Associates, Inc. The general contractor is Link Construction Group (LCG). The four-story residence hall will have 308 units. Construction is currently in process and began in the third quarter of 2021; its expected completion date is slated for the third quarter of 2021.

The residence hall will feature a 400-seat cafeteria and a new student center. It will be located within walking distance to the north of the already-existing student center. The development’s physical location will be 16401 Northwest 37th Avenue in Miami, FL. It is situated in Miami-Dade County.

According to St. Thomas University’s website, the college is currently home to 460 students. Although the building plans are not yet available online, the individual dorms will be suite-style, featuring private bathrooms and communal living spaces
