25,000-Seat Stadium Coming Soon to Miami-Dade County, FL

Miami Freedom Park is coming soon to Miami-Dade County. Boasting 58 acres of shops, recreational areas, soccer fields, and “green space,” the privately-funded complex is expected to cost $1 billion, per the Construction Journal.

First, we’ll start with the proposed hotel on the premises. It will host 750 rooms and be located near “tech hub offices.” There is no information as to who will own the hotel, but it is just one of the many emerging hotels in the area.

One of the biggest features about Miami Freedom Park is its stadium. It will have over 25,000 seats, and it was designed by Arquitectonica, an international Miami-based architectural firm. The stadium will host a variety of events, most namely, soccer matches.

In addition to the stadium, 23 acres have been set aside for youth soccer games. Miami Freedom Park itself will rest on 58 acres of land. In total, the retail and commercial spaces will comprise over 500,000 square feet (while some sources estimate a million square feet).

Miami Freedom Park is largely funded by members of its club. The goal is to bring more revenue to the area, ideally drawing in $40 million in tax avenue for the City of Miami. It also hopes to bring jobs to the area, an estimated 16,000.

There is little information regarding the exact location of the park. It is currently owned by Inter Miami.

  1. Is this the stadium that David Beckham wants to build?
