In 2017, the Related Group, a privately-owned real estate firm in Miami, had big plans to construct a multi-story condo in Miami Beach. However, when confronted with the sudden influx of condos, apartments, and houses, the firm changed gears. Now, on the 3.71 acres of land, the firm intends to build office space that overlooks the ocean.
Dubbed “One Island Park,” the development will feature over 123,000 square feet of new construction. According to the Construction Journal, the building will measure four stories above grade and feature a parking garage with over 250 spots.

The South Florida Business Journal reports that the Related Group has owned the property for several years. The lot was acquired in 2013 for nearly $10 million. While the project is still in its “qualified bidding” stage, ideally, construction will begin before the end of this year.

Arquitectonia designed the building. The Miami-based architectural firm designed housing for Florida International University (FIU), the American Airlines Arena, and the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center. The firm is renowned for its contemporary-style designs.
