Wynwood’s Design Review Committee has received an application proposing to repurpose an existing single story retail building located at 2545 Northwest 3rd Avenue in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. The projected is titled Billionaire Boys Club according to the filing, which will be an adaptive reuse single-story retail building featuring architectural designs and alterations by MKDA Florida. LERNER 2545 NW 3RD AVE LLC, a subsidiary of Lerner Family Properties, is listed as the owner of the application.
The existing structure sits on the southeast corner of NW 3rd Ave. and NW 26th St. and was once used as a retail space for the LBK Shoes Corporation. The brand taking space at the venue following the completion of the project will be Pharell William’s Billionaire Boys Club clothing brand, who signed a lease with the owner for 5,700 square feet of space back in late 2020. The redesigned retail structure will yield a total of 9,702 square feet of space with approximately 18-foot ceiling heights, but for the purpose of this particular project, only 5,649 square feet is being worked on.

The exterior of the building will be clad in smooth white stucco and white mosaic tiles, while several walls will be made up green stained concrete. The entrance will be opened up a bit more and welcoming customers with a new arch above, and industrial-styled windows will be added in. Murals for art work will be displayed in between the concrete and stucco walls. “The existing perimeter walls of the building will remain largely intact and be adapted to receive new aluminum store fronts, and to provide areas of the walls for future rotating artists to use as a canvas for their pieces.” says MKDA.

A Remodeling/Repairs permit for the site is currently in review, with a projected cost of $494,288.
