Medical Village Coming to Saint Johns County, Located Between Interstate 95 and State Road 9B

Flagler Health Village Durbin Park has officially begun construction. The $150 million venture intends on creating a “medical village,” which will comprise a hospital, doctors’ offices, and other wellness facilities. Let’s take a look at what’s in store.

Firstly, the village will rest on 41.50 acres of land, which is roughly the size of a football field. The hospital (which doesn’t have a name) will comprise 375,000 square feet of new construction. Stellar Group, Inc. is managing the construction aspect. Upon completion, the facility will employ over 1,000 people, many of which are healthcare professionals.

The project will cost $150 million to complete

But that’s not all. In addition to Flagler’s state-of-the-art buildings, plans are in the works for walking trails, retail spaces, lab testing facilities, and specialists’ offices. Per Flagler Health+’s website, the venture hopes not only to expand medical services in the region but also to expand Flagler’s network of resources. The organization is consistently lauded for its commitment to quality and patient care.

The groundbreaking ceremony was just held a few days ago this past July. Construction will wrap up sometime in 2023 and commence operations shortly thereafter. Flagler Health Village Durbin Park’s physical address is Flagler Health Way, Saint Johns, FL, 32259. It’ll be located between Interstate 95 and State Road 9B in Saint Johns County.
