Assisted Living Facility Breaks Ground on St. John XXIII Catholic Church’s Campus in Miramar, FL

Catholic Health Services has an exciting project that’s underway. Casa Sant’Angelo is a new assisted living facility coming to Miramar, FL. The project broke ground in September 2021 after meeting a brief delay in 2017. The South Florida Business Journal reports that the facility required a $21.6 million construction loan.

The assisted living facility will rise anywhere from three to five stories above grade, according to the Construction Journal. It will require 180,000 square feet of new construction and rest on 5.25 acres of land.

Seniors can choose from 113 residential units. The units are divided into independent living units, memory care units, and assisted living units. Residents have to pay an entry fee to secure their living space, plus lifestyle fees.

Maria Miranda, a spokesperson for Catholic Health Services, told the Sun-Sentinel in 2015 that: “This is as far away from institutional as you can possibly get.” Amenities include a community room, library, spa, on-site health clinic, and dedicated spaces for gathering.

CC Hodgson Architectural Group, the project’s architect, reports: “Casa Sant’Angelo is one component of a new campus for Catholic Health Services which includes a new parish church, school and community center.”

Casa Sant’Angelo’s location is 16700 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, FL, 33027. It will be located in Broward County on St. John XXIII Catholic Church’s campus.

  1. Very interested in the assisted living facility at St JohnXXIII campus for my 88 year old mother.
Please email me all information ASAP.
My mother and I are parishioners at St JohnXXIII Church, and I personally live in the development Nautica which is right before church.
Mom is independent , and likes to live on her own, but of course I will always be checking up on her.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Thankful
