The Mayflower at Winter Park is one step closer to completion––and no, we don’t mean a replica of the pilgrims’ ship. We mean a $105 million assisted living facility coming soon to Winter Park, Florida. Construction began back in 2020 and is still ongoing. The phased developments will become available as construction wraps up on certain aspects of the community.
The four-story facility will require approximately 9,000 square feet of new construction––the site being 93,842 square feet total, per the Construction Journal. The project will expand on a development already at that location.
Marketed as “distinctive senior living,” amenities include a heated swimming pool, tai chi studio, and gourmet dining options. The facility encourages seniors to take classes at nearby Rollins College, a private liberal arts college.
Residents can also enjoy in-room massages and gourmet dining. The property also comes with a mini-amphitheater, called “the Standish.” Here, seniors can perform and attend shows at their leisure. Prospective residents have a suite of options when choosing a new home. Units run from studios to multi-bedroom units. Per the Mayflower at Winter Park’s website, residents’ entry fee is anywhere from $181,700 to $443,900––depending on which unit they choose.
From there, they can expect to pay anywhere from $2,788 to 5,280 monthly, again, depending on their units. These prices are on the low end, as some of the ”villas” start at $300,000––and that’s just the entry fee. The Mayflower at Winter Park’s address is 1620 Mayflower Court and 2141 Oakhurst Avenue, Winter Park, FL, 32792. It’ll be located in Orange County.
