$595 Million Mixed-Use Venture Coming to 10050 Midway Road, Fort Pierce, FL, 34945

At first glance, Willow Lake, LLC’s newest venture is a massive planned community. At a second glance, however, it’s more than that; it’s a village, recreational facility, commercial enterprise, and nature preserve all rolled into one $525 million project. Some sources refer to the currently unnamed project as “Willow Lakes Resort Village and Community.”

The Construction Journal reports that the venture will comprise over 650,000 square feet of new construction, including “WaveGarden,” a simulated surfing park that generates over 1,000 waves an hour.

TC Palm says that this aspect alone accommodates 100 surfers at a time and may be the largest WaveGarden location to date. WaveGarden will be part of Surfworks Resorts, a 150-room hotel that’s expected to create about 140 jobs.

The venture is currently in its design development stage. Both TC Palm and the Construction Journal estimate that there will be anywhere from 700 to 1,000 residential units, many of which are multi-family homes. That number could change once the project nears its construction phase.

In addition to providing homes, the venture will have 100,000 square feet of food and beverage amenities, 125,000 square feet of retail, and 150,000 square feet of residential space.

The unnamed project is currently owned by Willow Lakes, LLC, with Devcon Enterprises LLC serving as the project’s developer. The mixed-use development is slated for 10050 Midway Road, Fort Pierce, FL, 34945. It will be located in Saint Lucie County.
