Microsoft Inks Lease At OKO Group And Cain International’s 55-Story 830 Brickell

Microsoft is officially expanding their presence in Miami as the tech industry continues to grow within the city. They have has announced that the company will be taking up 50,000 square feet of office space at the 55-story 830 Brickell, a 724-foot-tall Class A office tower currently under construction in the city’s Brickell Financial District. Rising as the first office tower to be built in the city in over a decade, the developers behind the efforts are OKO Group and Cain International, the duo behind several new projects in Miami such as Una Residences and Missoni Baia. The developers were represented by the Cushman & Wakefield team of Brian Gale, Ryan Holtzman and Andrew Trench. Microsoft was represented by Alexander Brown, Executive Vice President with Colliers International.

“I am excited to share that our Microsoft Latin America regional team has a new future home at 830 Brickell in Miami. This space will become our new regional hub in addition to supporting other Microsoft businesses. This move will unite employees across multiple locations supporting collaboration, inspiration, and productivity. The new location will also serve as a bridge to deepen relationships with our customers while navigating the ever-changing hybrid work environment and maintaining Microsoft’s high standards around sustainability and accessibility,” said Mariana Castro, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Operations, Latin America at Microsoft in a LinkedIn statement.

The 55-story, 640,000-square-foot tower is designed by renowned architecture firm Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill, the firm behind some of the world’s tallest towers such as 1,550-foot tall Central Park Tower in New York City and the 2,722-foot-tall Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Interiors at 830 Brickell will be handled by Italian architecture and design company Iosa Ghini Associati. Amenities will include a world-class health and wellness center with panoramic views, a first-class restaurant and open-air rooftop lounge, a private conference facility for tenants, and 24-hour concierge service.

830 Brickell is scheduled for completion in 2022.
