A new multi-family housing complex is unraveling in Pompano Beach, Florida. Sonata Apartments will have 121 units, with at least 57 designated as rent-restricted housing. The Construction Journal reports that general contractor Brookstone Construction LLC will break ground on the project in October 2021.
The Real Deal reports that the complex will comprise three multi-story buildings and feature 31 one-bedroom units, 59 two-bedroom units, and 31 three-bedroom units. The average unit is about 963 square feet, with the smallest units being 696 square feet and the largest units being 1,230.
In total, Sonata will comprise three residential buildings
The project is split into two sites. The north site will comprise two three-story buildings, a covered outdoor gym, and parking lot. The south site will have one eight-story mixed-use building, which will double as residential and retail space. The building lot itself measures nine parcels.
The project is owned by Cornerstone Group. The Hollywood-based firm has five active projects in the private commercial, retail, and residential sectors. It has partnered with Burgo Lanza & Associates Inc., the project’s architect, and KEITH, the project’s civil engineer.
At least 57 units will be designated as rent-restricted housing
Sonata Apartments’ future location is 100 Northwest 8th Street, Pompano Beach, FL, 33060. It will be located in Broward County. The project is estimated to cost $23.5 million.
