Platform 3750 to Provide Transit-Oriented Neighborhood at 3750 South Dixie Highway, Coconut Grove, FL, 33133

Construction is ongoing at Platform 3750, a mixed-use venture coming to the West Grove neighborhood in Coconut Grove, FL. Per Local 10 News, general contractor Current Builders, Inc. began construction back in April 2021. Ideally, construction will end in late 2022.

The South Florida Business Journal reports that of the 191 new apartments, 78 of them are designated as affordable housing units. The publication reports: “The project is designed to jumpstart economic activity in the West Grove, a historically Black neighborhood with low-income levels compared to much of the city.”

Developers have set aside over 3,000 square feet of office space for County Commissioner Raquel Regalado. About 21,000 square feet will include a fully-outfitted Aldi and Starbucks.

Construction will conclude in late 2022

Fourteen thousand square feet will be office space for Cornerstone Group once it relocates from its previous headquarters in Hollywood, FL. Finally, Miami-Dade County’s Community Action & Human Services division will comprise 12,500 square feet of office space.

Kobi Karp Architect & Interior Design designed the community. It will include over 395 parking spots and cost around $90 million total to build. Platform 3750’s goal is to create a transit-oriented community that provides affordable housing units.

The community will include 191 units on a 2.1-acre plot

Platform 3750 is located next to the Douglas Road Metrorail Station at 3750 South Dixie Highway, Coconut Grove, FL, 33133.

  1. This is a great addition to west grove. Sounds like Ken did his thing and got the developers to pay up. Glad to see its a true multi use with lots of office space, retail/grocery and apartments. Will tie in well with the 1500 units across the street going up now.

  2. Where do you apply?
