The Reef at Rivera is an age-restricted community coming to Manatee County, FL. The Construction Journal reports that the venture began construction in May 2020 and will ideally open in early 2022. Current Builders, Inc. is the general contractor with over 130 active projects across multiple sectors. The facility’s estimated to cost at least $25 million to complete.
The 62+ community will comprise over 255,000 square feet of new construction. The Bradenton Herald/East Manatee Herald reported there will be over 220 units in a multi-story building, although this may have changed since publication. Floorplans range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom units.

Some units provide special accommodations for wheelchair users and seniors with auditory/visual impairments. The smallest units measure 635 square feet, and the largest measure about 1,280 square feet. Dominium, the owner, suggests that rent could range anywhere from $910 to $1,276 a month, although this could change over time. Some residents may qualify for financial assistance.
Each unit comes with a washer and dryer, wood-plank flooring, high-speed internet, and granite countertops. They also come with nine-foot-high ceilings and central air conditioning. Communal amenities include a theater room, swimming pool, dog park, and two-story clubhouse.
