The Doro is a new mixed-used complex coming to Jacksonville’s Sport District. RISE General Contractors intends to finish construction by October 2023. The Construction Journal reports that the venture will cost about $45.9 million to build.
The complex features 247 residential units, averaging about 708 square feet each. Homes range from one- to two-bedroom layout plans. The Doro is owned by RISE Development LLC, which is also the project’s developer. The eight-story building will rest on about 1.63 acres, according to the Jacksonville Record & Observer.
The eighth floor features both retail space and residential amenities. The ground floor will also host commercial ventures and a 5,000+ square foot courtyard. Both residents and visitors will also enjoy the seven-story parking garage with over 240 spaces. The roof is jam-packed with amenities. It will feature an indoor/outdoor bar and lounge, a 9,469-square-foot terrace, and a swimming pool.
The Doro was designed by Niles Bolton Associates, Inc. Conceptual renderings show outdoor balconies, a landscaped perimeter, and a minimalist modern style. England Thims & Miller Inc. is the project’s civil engineer. The Jacksonville-based firm has over 150 active projects.
The Doro’s address is 960 East Adams Street, Jacksonville, FL, 32202, in Duval County.
